Worries? Of course; and thank God. How else are you going to be a saint? “When thou comest to the service of God, prepare thy soul for temptation” – which means trials and worries of all kinds.
If you train yourself to see God’s hand in all things and rather to be glad when everything goes wrong, you will enjoy great interior peace. Here is a most important spiritual maxim for you: A soul which is not at peace and happy will never be really holy.

on Thoughts for January 19 from Fr Willie Doyle.
Such food for thought- once again! Father Doyle understood human nature. The challenges in life are spiritual workouts, as the physical training for athletes hep them grow stronger and expand their endurance for better physical fitness.
Father Doyle, we must work daily for fitness of soul, a soul that seeks God and eternal life with Him. It can be quite difficult and discouraging at times, but please help us to correspond with the powerful graces that are sent to us by God Who knows our needs even before we do. Teach us to trust Him.
Waiting for the Jesuit saint to show up in my Inbox. Thank you.
Father Doyle, you who knew so well human nature, please help us to use our weaknesses, and God-given strengths to grow closer to God, and to assist others in their human struggles. “I can do all things in Him Who strengthens me…”
